Description

Transport Swabs feature advanced design which includes a smooth round-bottomed tube, lowering the risk of puncturing specimen transport bags. Tubes conveniently fit regular test tube racks facilitating easy storage. Other features include extra long 51/4 in. plastic swab shafts, large preattached labels, double-action security caps, and tamper-evident seals. Large 5mL depth of agar gel gives maximum protection to fastidious bacteria in the sample. The soft rayon swab-tip is inert and nontoxic. Media are low bio-burden since they contain less than two nonviable bacterial cells per 10 high power microscopic fields.
