Simply set timing knob, press handle down on plastic, and remove when timing light indicates complete cycle. Heating element is hot only when sealing. Both sealers include 6-ft cord for 115 VAC. Heat sealer for 8" seals measures 14 1/2 x 3 1/4 x 7"; sealer for 12" seals measures 17 1/2 x 3 3/8 x 7".
