Description
CNA Agar is recommended for the use of as a primary plating medium when culturing urine specimens. BluEcoli™ is a urine culture media used for the culture and isolation of urinary pathogens and for the identification of E. coli. Inoculate both sides of the biplate with the urine specimen, if the infecting organism is E. coli, the colonies on the chromogenic side of the biplate will turn blue. E.coli colonies trun a distinct blue color within 16 - 24 hrs. The blue color is confirmatory! Because the BluEcoli™ Urine Biplate is confirmatory, there is no need for additional expensive identification cards or panels.
