Use these filters in qualitative analytical techniques to determine and identify materials. Grade 1 through Grade 6 and Grade 597 filter papers are standard circles. Grade 113 and Grade 114 filters are qualitative wet-strengthened filter circles. Grade 4 filters (20 to 25ìm) offer high flow rates with good retention of larger particles and gelatinous precipitates such as ferric hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide.
